Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee individualized behavior and treatment plans.
- Train and supervise RBTs and other team members.
- Collect and analyze data to inform programming and improve outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with families, schools, and community organizations to ensure cohesive care.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Special Education or a related human services field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of an internship and/or formal training in behavior analysis and instructional strategies.
- Prior experience working with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and related challenges, including training with caregivers and associated agencies.
Skills and Competencies
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Strong writing skills for simple correspondence.
- Capable of effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings to clients, caregivers, and other team members.
Mathematical Skills:
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Competence in calculating rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
- Adept at applying common sense to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Strong problem-solving skills to manage issues involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
- Familiarity with database software, internet tools, and word processing programs to maintain efficient communication and documentation.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Must be a certified BCBA for a minimum of six months unless prior approval is granted by the Director.
