RBT Requirements

Do you want to join the Cadenza Team, but aren’t yet a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)? 

BEFORE APPLYING, you must complete the following steps required to become an RBT. Below, we’ve outlined the process and provided helpful resources to get you started.

 

Step 1: Complete the 40-Hour RBT Training

Complete a 40-hour training course that covers the core principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). We recommend starting with this free online training provided by the Autism Partnership Foundation:

Step 2: Pass the RBT Competency Assessment

You must pass an RBT Competency Assessment conducted by a qualified BCBA. This assessment ensures that you can demonstrate key skills required for the role. Cadenza Center offers this competency for a fee of $100. Should you be hired at Cadenza, this fee will be refunded to you!

Step 3: Apply for the RBT Exam

Apply to take the RBT exam through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The exam is a multiple-choice test covering essential ABA concepts. To understand the full certification process, watch this helpful video:  📺 How to Become an RBT – BACB Guide

 

Step 4: Submit Your Application & Join Our Team

ONLY AFTER passing your RBT exam and obtaining certification, you are ready to apply for a position with us!
