“Most families don’t find us first. But when they do, we meet them with something rare: clarity, care, and true partnership.”

Why We Slow Down—So Your Child Can Thrive

Most families don’t find Cadenza first. They come to us after months—sometimes years—of waiting, worrying, and watching their child struggle without the right support. Often, they’ve been told to wait for a neurology appointment, or to see how things unfold by the next pediatric checkup. And while those steps have value, they leave families in limbo during some of the most critical windows for growth.

By the time they reach us, many parents are carrying a quiet kind of exhaustion. They’ve filled out intake packets that no one seemed to read. They’ve been shuffled between providers, given cookie-cutter advice, or rushed into services without a real understanding of what their child actually needs. They’re not just frustrated. They’re heartbroken—and cautious. And underneath it all, many carry a quiet guilt—wondering if they should’ve done something sooner, or differently. If that’s you, please hear this: you are not late. You are not behind. You’re here now. And that’s what matters.

At Cadenza, we meet that moment with something different: presence, precision, and partnership. We don’t start by assigning hours or promising quick fixes. We start by building trust. We begin with listening.

“Finding Cadenza felt like finally exhaling. For the first time, we felt like someone truly saw our child and knew how to help.” – Cadenza Parent

We also begin with evaluation. Many families come to us without a clear clinical picture of their child—only fragments from different providers, such as a speech delay here, a developmental delay there, or a provisional diagnosis given without context. Some have been told their child has ADHD or anxiety, or have received school evaluations that only capture part of the picture. Our goal is to pull those pieces together. That’s why one of our core commitments is to offer robust, comprehensive assessments by psychologists, school psychologists, or trained evaluators. We aim for diagnostic clarification—so that what may have felt like a list of disconnected concerns becomes a coherent understanding of your child. These evaluations don’t just support medical necessity for services—they help shape everything that follows.

A clear diagnostic profile becomes the foundation for your child’s treatment. It gives our behavior analysts real information to write meaningful, individualized goals. It gives families language to advocate for IEPs and other supports in school. It becomes a roadmap—not just for what’s challenging, but for what’s possible.

What also sets us apart is our collaborative approach. Our psychologists, behavior analysts, and mental health clinicians work together—not in silos—to understand your child as a whole person. That means behavioral data is not interpreted in isolation from emotional or social needs. Treatment planning happens across disciplines. Family therapists support the parents and siblings, not just the identified client. And much of the coordination, communication, and insight-sharing happens behind the scenes—without reimbursement from insurance—because it’s what good care requires.

We don’t rush. That’s not because we don’t care. It’s because we care deeply. Our pace reflects our values: thoughtful assessment, intentional planning, and a commitment to clinical integrity. Every child’s plan is written by licensed psychologists and BCBAs. We offer 20% supervision for ABA, even when insurance won’t pay for it. We meet weekly to reflect and refine. And we communicate with parents like partners—because that’s what you are.

Yes, it can take longer to start. But the families who choose Cadenza aren’t just looking for speed. They’re looking for sustainability. For care that endures. For therapists who know their child’s name—and their dreams.

We are building something rare in behavioral health: a place where children thrive, parents feel empowered, and clinicians stay. Because when services are built with heart, they don’t burn out. They grow.

We know this work isn’t easy. Families have choices, and when they choose us, we consider that an honor and a responsibility. We take that trust seriously. We show up every day with the intention to treat your child—and your family—with the same care, thoughtfulness, and dignity we would want for our own. Behind every clinical plan, every progress note, every team meeting, is a shared commitment to that trust.

“In just a few months at Cadenza, our child has made more progress than we saw in years elsewhere. We’re beyond grateful—this is the kind of support we didn’t think existed.” – Cadenza Parent

To our colleagues—pediatricians, school psychologists, speech and occupational therapists, and other providers—we see the work you’re doing. We know how hard it is to make meaningful referrals in a fragmented system. When you send a family to us, we consider that a trust we don’t take lightly. We collaborate with you, share key insights when appropriate, and become part of the larger network of support that family needs. You are part of our team, too.

If that’s what you’ve been looking for, welcome. We’re ready when you are.

With care,

Michelle Hintz, Psy.D.
